Managing Contractors:
"As a large apartment block in Coffs Harbour, we employ a number of regular contractors to
provide maintenance services around the building. As these contractors work independantly, we
had no means of knowing if they actually worked the hours they claimed. ispot camera provided
the solution, and we now have a 100% accurate record of when our contractors arrive and leave,
saving us $1,000s over a year.”
Justifying Existing Services:
"With electricity costs on the increase, our body corporate decided to look at whether we needed
100% security lighting on all night. Some residents were concerned that it would be difficult to get
around our complex at night without full security lighting. By using ispot sentry, we were able to
prove that there were very few residents moving around the complex between midnight and 5am.
So now we cut our external lighting to a minimum security requirement during those hours and are
already saving almost 20% off our electricity costs."
General Surveillance:
"As a small business, it was very distressing to find that someone was stealing from our petty cash
tin when the office was unattended. We advised our staff, as required by law, that we were hiding
an ispot sentry camera in the office to catch the thief. And, sure enough, we got the evidence that
an employee from another business in our building was the culprit, saving us from future theft and
giving us the satisfaction of seeing the thief pay for his actions."
Complimenting Existing Systems:
"Our showroom alarm kept going off for no identifiable reason, costing us $27.50 each time our
security firm responded and that soon mounted up! After weeks of trying unsuccessfully to find the
cause, we used ispot camera to monitor the area. A rodent was photographed on the very first
night of monitoring so a little ratsac later and our problem has been solved. Now I use the camera
for general security in our showroom as it is so easy to move around."
